Leave your bike at home. Two bikes can be available for those that don’t want to bring their own. If these are not to your liking there are many bike shops in the area that rent anything from beach cruisers and mountain bikes to high quality full carbon road racing bikes - see our cyclist’s guide for details. Our accommodation is ideal for couples who want a long stay Florida cycling holiday but still enjoy a luxury home, beaches, restaurants and other great leisure activities.

Pinellas Trail

Ride all day on long, fast, smooth rides cycle paths away from traffic and amongst beautiful lush countryside and sea views. Pinellas trail makes this part of Florida a prize find for club cyclists and those wanting to take a more leisurely pace. You can ride for over 70 miles and barely touch a main road.

Over 70 miles of cycle paths which are smooth, well-maintained and predominantly flat with various free water fountains en route and cafe stops along the way make this network a comfortable, largely traffic-free riding experience and a total joy.

Frequented by club cyclists, casual riders, walkers, runners and e-bikes, this trail takes you to outstanding locations like Fort DeSoto, up to Tarpon Springs and even right into the heart of downtown St Pete in a safe, smooth and puncture-free experience.

For a longer ride the trail takes you over Howard Franklin bridge and into Tampa.

Most of the distance is on purpose built tracks with bridges over main roads, the trails are wide and most of the time well away from roads and cars using old railroad lines in some areas.
